The vast majority of chronic respiratory diseases in the U.S. remain unmanaged, costing the healthcare system over $140 billion a year. Our founder, Subath Kamalasan, finds this extremely frustrating. And he is using technology to fix this. Launched in 2013, Somnoware is a cloud-based respiratory healthcare management platform that cuts time to diagnosis by 80%, increases therapy effectiveness by 30%, and can reduce hospital admissions / readmissions by up to 67%. It is already being used by 1 in 5 pulmonologists. We believe that this is just a baby step in our mission to successfully manage all chronic respiratory ailments and drastically reduce the associated healthcare costs.
